This is listed as one of the most romantic restaurants in New York City. Perhaps this was a night when the waiters were in charge of the music since the thrashing lounge music was a disturbing presence throughout the meal, all but eliminating any chance of a romantic atmosphere! the food, however, was spectacular. I nearly swooned over the truffle mac 'n cheese dish! Another disturbing factor was the waiter bringing the check while we were still eating our dessert. It was not asked for and is a sign of a poorly trained staff. The owner needs to hang out at his own place a little more often would be my take on things.

Found this restaurant by accident. What a delightful accident. The food was delicious but most importantly the service was superb. Wine was recommended by our waiter, with no regrets, food was absolutely delicious, felt like a child and wanted to hmmm. Great Experience!

The place is cozy on the inside, with nice decor. The menu is quite limited. The portions are very small which leaves you still hungry after spending a small ransom on the overall bill. The food was good but not fantastic. The drinks are not worth the price at all. The service was just ok and the server we had really was not very personable. I would remind everone that NYC has so many restaurants that provide such a better "bang for you buck" in addition to appreciating your business a bit more in many aspects. By the way, We dine in New York one to two times a week and have been for over ten years.

I came to the house for my first time last night with a few of my girlfriends. The House is absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing! Cant wait to have oysters on the front terrace when the weather gets a little warmer!

I stumbled on the House last wed, I never heard of this place before, its amazing decor and serious menu was a delight. I'm heading back Friday with my girl for the truffle mac & cheese

We reserved a table at the latest sitting on New years eve a few weeks in advance at the House for 4. At 11.30 pm and 500$ later we were asked to leave table for another sitting. shocking! Food very disappointing and so over priced
