Good place for burgers and fast food

Stopped with my sisters after a theatre performance and had burgers and fries. Beer was good and sliders were good. I would say if you are looking for an unusual beer and some fast food this place is for you. Atmosphere was typical bar and a fun place for a group setting.

    Great Pre Theatre Choice

Visited the "House" for the first time on Sunday July 4th with a party of eight before a Wicked Matinee. Exactly what we were looking for ! We had 6 appetizers (all were great bar food appy's) an assortment of martinis and beers and the bill, with tip, was just under $200.00. That's only $25.00 per head for apps and drinks!!!! By NYC standards that's good bang for the buck!!!! Special shout out to our server. I highly recommend this spot for pre or post theatre drinks and light fare. Will definitely visit again our next time in the city

    They'll rip you off!!

I went there on this Saturday afternoon and there was a sign outside "Special Stella 2 for 1 all day." I had 4 Stellas and was charged for 4 Stellas. When my bill came, I was told that is only on Tuesdays. Note: sign was out on Saturday and did not say Tuesdays only. The waitress didn't do anything for me and neither did "James" in the office who replied to my email complaint. STAY AWAY.

    Good service, below par food

Very disappointed in the food. Fish in the Fish & Chips basket was soggy and tasted like cheap fish. Chicken tenders were nasty. If you go here, it should just be for the selections of beer. Don't bother with the food.

    Loved House of Brews!

Hubby and I did some research on the neighborhood watering holes before coming to NY, and we were so glad we did. HOB was around the corner from our hotel and we took advantage of that. Great for a late night bite (the nachos were fabulous), or a drink after a long day of whatever! Friendly service, great atmosphere.

Good Brew, Okay Food, Gross Bathrooms

Love the mini brew flights they offer. Hadn't read the previous reviews before going here and we ordered some junk-food type appetizers while sitting at the bar. They were actually pretty good, not too greasy. Onion Rings were not all breading as they are in some other bars. It's not a fancy place at all and i found it to be pretty reasonable from a price point. Bartender was attentive, staff was nice and pretty social. The only downside...bathroom is really small and kind of dirty... yuck!

    Pass on the appetizers

We went with a big group of friends and ordered a couple of appetizers platters for the table. There wasn't a single appetizer that was even passable as food. Everything was incredibly bland and made us dread our entrees. I would reccomend grabbing a beer here and then high-tailing it to a real restaurant for food.
