perfect neighbourhood spot
amazing food, uber kind and attentive service. special drinks - and a bartender who will make something special if you ask him. though scottish lots of veggy options. LOVE!

Overpriced
You be the judge... 3 cocktails and a dozen oysters... with tax and tip... $105.00 The oysters... $48 a dozen. When I asked if this was correct the answer... "yeah, they're $4 each"... I travel the world and eat for a living... the most expensive oysters I have EVER seen!

Great atmosphere
Like the atmosphere, even thought it can get packed for a bar/resto, staff is a little slow sometimes, but not that big of a deal.

It Seems to Have it All
The food is spot on - not outstanding in any means but very, very good - simple gasto style. The place is a winner for the drinks, atmosphere and design - definitely a great new neighborhood spot. It gets very, very busy and very warm but the super friendly staff and Scotch make up for it! Most definitely recommended.

highlands in nyc
Highlands is a terrific find in the West Village. Great atmosphere, cracking cocktails and devine food adds up to a special night out. Well worth checking this authentic Scottish house of style and the odd kilt is a bonus.
