The Grill Room (CLOSED)

Gorgeous view, very good service, good food, and as long as my company is paying the price is fine. I won't go there if it's coming out of my pocket though. Great for taking out a client, not worth the price for a date, especially considering Battery Park is so close by.

I recently went to the Grill room to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The Host was excellent and very accomodating. The waiter was friendly but he forgot our appetizer. Despite the slip up the overall experience was lovely. The food was very good and the portions were very satisfying. The drinks were very well made and the Costello Pinot Noir was a big hit with my boyfriend. Will definitely return!!!

This place was a disappointment. My boyfriend and I had a rude waitress who didn't utter one word when she put the bill on the table at the end of our meal. The bread was cold and unfresh. We got two kinds of fish between the two of us and they were both pan-fried with minimal seasoning. None of the entrees came with sides so we had limp salads to accompany the dry and overcooked fish.

Food was not too bad but service was poor. It took us 2 hours to finish 2 courses. (We skipped dessert). After ordering our dishes, we were told 15 mins later that some dishes were not available. I understand that you might run out of stuff but to wait 15 mins for that? Waitress forgot one of our appetizer orders and one of our main courses was wrongly ordered. Coupled with the 2 hr wait, it was not a pleasant experience.

We loved everything about this place, and were so surprised the placed wasn't packed. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, I can't wait to go back. The sunset was breathtaking!

Everything I had to eat was excellent. Drinks were well made. Great view.

The food is excellent, the wine list superb and the service fantastic! Reservations are a good idea, ask for a seat by the window for a gorgeous view of the Hudson River.
