Never Disappointed
I've been to the Green Table three times now and have loved every experience. The atmosphere is trendy without crossing the line into pretentious. The food tends to be high-falutin' versions of traditional comfort foods, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. (This weekend, I had the mac and cheese while my aunt tried the potato and brussel sprout hash and we shared some interesting ice cream choices: rosemary, buttermilk thyme and caramel apple pecan.) The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Even though there are a ton of great places to eat in the Chelsea Market, you cannot go wrong at The Green Table.

Best Grilled Cheese I've Ever Had (Born and raised NYC foodie)
This grilled cheese is made with special raw cheddar , bread from Amy's Bread and always has a seasonal chutney in it. I've had it with sweet apple/onion chutney and mango another time. So good, better than their pot pies. Gotta try.

Nice surprise
On our first visit to N.Y. my husband and I found out Chelsea Market and The Green Table. Well, we thank God for this coincidence! In the week we stayed in the city, we when two times (we wanted to eat in diferent restaurants) but we could not help to repeat. The first time we ate American cuisine and really, really enjoyed it. Regards from Barcelona (Spain).

Don't get the fish tacos
They don't season thier food..it's not pan seared...the tortilla taste like they got it from a supermarket. Salad was average. Not worth the dollars. Service was slow and not the friendliest.

My Favorite!
The green table has quickly become my favorite restaurant in the city. Though it's tiny, it's rustic barn-style and "outdoor" communal table (outdoors on the Chelea Market sidewalk!) give it unique flair. This food has both consciousness and taste - mainly local ingredients and fresh produce are always on the menu. Their meats are all local (= amazing!) and they even feature local cocktails with seasonal ingredients. The dessert menu changes by the day, and always includes incredible, creative selections.

Extremely ordinary food
You have got to be kidding me! The fish tacos claim to have pan seared cod. The fish that we got with the tacos was boiled and far from pan seared. The tacos were cold, soggy store bought torillas, and the salad accompanying it had absolutely no dressing on it - just dry leaves. I cannot imagine anybody truly having positive reviews for this place.

Great food, if you can wait a long time
We love eating here, the food is amazing. The service is friendly, but be ready to wait forever for your food. I've been there when it was empty and it still took over 30 min to get my food. A little annoying, but great food.
