Hidden Gem
This is the 2nd time eating here and the food was just as good as the first time. The dumplings were just right, albeit slightly overcooked on one side, but tasty nonetheless. Overall, the food is tasty and portioned just right. The ambiance is rustic, yet romantic and little Brooklyn mixed in. The area is quite sketchy, but if you walk towards the East river, you can walk along the renovated boardwalk and see some old Brooklyn Rail charm (don't want to spoil it for you too much). And, closeby is some of the best lemon merange pie you could ask for. Great unpretentious place, making you wonder, can I live here?

Worth every penny
I've heard raves for many a moon about this place. I've only been 5 times, but it's now one of my wife's favorites. The wine is fabulous and fairly priced. Nothing pretentious about the joint. Food: fantastic. My only caveat, which I should've known, a skirt served rare will tend to be a bit tough. My fault, not their's's's.

Must try
Went there Tuesday night. Called for RSVP but was full. Owner said that people still come in and they have seating for non-RSVP. Walked in around 8 and was seated right away. Atmosphere was tiny, cozy and romantic a hint. Food was absoulty amazing. MUST HAVE THE DUMPLINGS!.. Service was exactly what it should be, they didnt bother you or try to force the check on u and get you out. They were they when you needed something. Waiters were courtous and Knowledgable. Had the Steak and Eggs, the skirt steak was melt in your mouth delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMOND

good food, but tiny portions
The food was very good and pretty, but the portions were tiny. My girlfriend's entree and mine together were smaller than what I'd expect for a single meal, especially given the price that we paid. Heck, I've had appetizers bigger than my main course. The dessert was tiny, too, almost like a joke. The atmosphere was cute, and the outdoor area looked nice, but it was full, so we ate inside. The service was a bit stuck-up and slow. Go here for the amazingness of a fancy restaurant in a sketchy neighborhood. But don't expect to leave with a full stomach.

Amazing Food!
I ate at The Good Fork for the first time tonight and I was blown away by the food. I haven't tasted anything this delicious and distinct in years, if ever. The dishes truly transcended the ingredients and the flavor experience was magical. With that being said, the service was truly horrific. The waitress was awkward and provided us with a much lower level of service than the customers at the surrounding tables. The only reason I can see for this is our age. At 25 we were at least ten years younger than any other diner. It is unfortunate that she made the choice to treat us disrespectfully because we have both worked as servers and are very generous, with our opinions about service and our tips. She was actually aggressive with us at times. It was very unpleasant and I had to actively focus on the food and the company so that she wouldn't ruin our entire experience. Luckily the food was incredible enough to compensate for our very rude server. I HIGHLY recommend The Good Fork based on its outstanding food!

A must try!
The food at this restaurant is awesome! It far exceeded my expectations despite stellar reviews. The portions are not very big, but the quality is first class. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly.

A Lovely Surprise
My friends and I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal at The Good Fork the other evening. I had called for a reservation and was told that they were exceptionally busy and I would not be able to visit. I was very disappointed and the very kind host suggested that I call back close to the time I wanted to dine or he could call me if there were a cancellation. I thanked him and as promised, close to the desired time, he called me back. I was thilled. We flew to the restaurant in an "up and coming" area of Brooklyn. What a delightful treat dinner was. It was wonderfully, beautifully and graciously presented and totally wonderful. One friend had duck breast which was scrumptious. The drinks were lovely, the food very yummy and the apple tart was a dream. Do me a favor, don't go so I can get in when I like................. Seriously, GO.....The owners deserve your patronage. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
