We came here for lunch and just loved The Gander. Besides the food being original and delicious, the staff was fabulous and the space was a charm. Do come and enjoy it yourselves!

Rock star chef Jesse Schenker from Recette has a new winner at The Gander. He offers a menu that is creative and innovative with starter standouts like brisket tots, buffalo sweetbreads and house made lamb pastrami. The mains include a silky halibut, a yummy duck breats and an excellent pork chop. All are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The grits were beyond good !!!! We had a wonderful dining experience with excellent service in a lovely space with gracious management. Good luck to this newcomer where inventive cocktails are only $15 and in Manhattan that's a bargain.

I dined here on the 2nd night they were open. They did an incredible job with the space. This is the kind of restaurant you can eat or have drinks at 5 nights a week. Just the iceberg wedge alone I'm still thinking about. Bound to become another great dining institution in NYC.
