Would someone please blow out the flame?
Yes, the service was great and the prices reasonable--a shame about the food, though. Almost inedible. Even for a coffeeshop this was low.

Can't go wrong...
I live right near this place so I find myself eating there almost once a week whether it be take out or eating there. The waitstaff and people that take your phone orders always get your order right.. and trust me on this cause I usually have something specific regarding mine. The turkey burgers are up there with the best I've had and my roommate loves their regular burgers too. They have a diverse enough menu to eat healthy when you want or not when you want to also. It's a great place to go after a night out when your dying for something to eat, or the next morning do to the trick. The place is a little funny looking on the inside, but typical NYC diner. The waitstaff is really friendly... sometimes a little too friendly-when you want to talk to those your dining with and can't because the waiter is making the same jokes... but it's better than service that doesn't pay attention. Overall great, food, great place!! My experiences have always been good!

Delivery?
I have eaten here a few times during the day. Nothing special, pretty poor food but I was looking for cheap junk food one night and gave them a call. I live on 56th and broadway, thats 4 blocks away and these guys wouldn't deliver. If somewhere doesn't deliver 4 blocks why bother deliver at all. So for those of you about to order that are more than a 3 minute walk away, don't get your hopes up!

Chicken Pot Pie to Die For
I am a fan of diners and coffee shops in the city and this is a favorite of mine. The wait staff is courteous and welcoming. The service is prompt and accomodating. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The selections are varied enough to suit any member of the family, well prepared, and the portions are generous. The prices are extremely reasonable. I love the stuffed green peppers and the chicken pot pie (when they have it) is to die for. Ask the waiter for a recommendation for the day and you won't be disappointed. What's not to love about this place?

Terrific from breakfast to late night
I go to the Flame at least twice a week, usually for breakfast or lunch. Excellent fast service, quick coffee refills, delicious breakfasts (omelettes, ham and eggs, pancakes). The chicken salad sandwich is surprisingly good and if you feel like eating a bit unhealthy then try the cheeseburger club. This place is always open and, as such, is a great option after a long night out. I may be 5-10 lbs. heavier because of them but it's worth it.

Good Eats!
I had the Lamb Orzo (or something like that) and it was delightful! Service was attentive and you get to sit among the regulars and get a feel for the "hood"
