    1st Date Spot - a must

Definitly worth a consideration to spark up a great night. The menu offers an array of platters consisting of great quality fruits and cheeses with breads. Go during Happy Hour (before 8 pm) when all drinks are $6. Makes for an impressionable 1st date spot.

Best 1st Date Spot in NYC

NY Magazine ranked it the best 1st date spot in 2007. I went out to make sure this was true and sure enough it was. The food is designed to be intimate. The $16 cheese platter is a sure fire way to bring intrigue to the table and light things up. It fills us nice and lasts all night. The Happy Hour is $6 a drink and well-worth it from 6 to 8. The decor is dimmed and conducive to fun. Very English in appeal, like romantic victorian. In conclusion, it was everything we hoped for and more.

    Love this place!

Happy Hour is a great deal and the small food plates are delicious. Desserts are hit or miss, but the coctails are all perfect, high quality and not too sweet. Make reservations if bringing a large group and be prepared to wait for a seat during busy times.

    good bar

I didn't even realize this place serves food because I always come for happy hour. The atmosphere is very cozy..cross between an English tea house and an underground pub. Recommended.
