I LOVE the DW, but find the ever-changing food menu to be frustrating. Previously there were a couple vegan options on the menu, but now it seems a bit of a crapshoot. We love to go for dinner, but often get stuck havng a beer and going somewhere else. There's not even an "old standby" salad. Since ther'es nowhere to check the menu online, and often nobody answers the phone, it's fallen down on our list of go-to places. The beer menu is fabulous, although whoever describes the beers CLEARLY loves hops, so keep that in mind when choosing anything described as hoppy or even having hops in the description! All the food has been delish, but again, the menu options are frustrating!

The double windsor is awesome! i go there a lot and they always treat me very nicely and the service is amazing. i LOVE their grilled cheese and the beer menu is very wide spread. 5 stars!

just a great way to spend an early evening here. Food was good, especially for a bar with such a great selection of beer (which is why we went). definitely worth the visit. nice atmosphere.

I ate there tonight and was sorry I did! You place your order at the window; then wait for an eternity before they deign to bring it out. You order drinks separately at the bar (IF you can attract the bartender's attention!). You sit at long tables with whomever. Although there is supposedly a policy against children after 5:00, I can tell you that there were two whining infants sitting directly in front of me. When the food finally came, it was mediocre and way overpriced.

We have been waiting for a place like The Double Windsor to open up in Windsor Terrace for years. The people are friendly and approachable, the crowd is interesting, and the food is delicious. This is a great place to stop for a beer after a run in the park or for a casual evening drink and dinner.

I love this place - and I am not a bar person. The food is superb - from the hamburger with house ground local meat to the super tasty pork sandwich and the awesome BLT... and of course the skinny, double fried french fries. Add on top a rotating menu of mostly microbrew beers - one that gets updated several times a night as they replace kegs - and this place is always fun. (Friends who love cocktails swoon over their Dark & Stormy and several other specials). Mellow hang out, good layout... this place is a gem and I'm so glad its in my neighborhood. (not all 5's cause it gets a little loud when its full)
