The food was SICKLY, amazingly good. Decor unique, thoughtful, just quirky enough. Clearly there had been lots of attention paid to the food, right down to how it was arranged on the plate. Unfortuntately, the portion was way too small (a problem I find at lots of these tapas-type places). My brunch entree was 12 dollars, reasonable but toward the top end of what I'd have been willing to pay. This (lesbian) restaurant/bar is sorely needed in the area + I really want it to succeed, so i can only advise The Dalloway to pump up the portions, at least at brunch. Even if it means adding a buck or two to each entree price. People go to Brunch expecting to not get hungry again till dinner, but an hour after I ate there I was ready for a sandwich. I really wanted to adore this place and for it to be a smashing success for NYC's lesbian community. And it likely still WILL be a success--but please feed us more!
