My husband, his friend, and I drove nearly 3 hours to get to The Cutting Room last night (1/16/13) and couldn't have been more disappointed with the service. We arrived at 6:30 and planned to go in and sit down for dinner before the show. This is a little late for us to eat dinner, so we were starving. We were told by the bartenders that we would have to wait until 7 to go in and sit down because they weren't ready yet. OK. 7:00 came and went, as did 7:30 and 8:00. We FINALLY got to go in around 8:30 but by that time the lobby was so packed we couldn't get a table where all three of us could sit together so my husband's friend decided to stand. I couldn't flag a waitress down until about 9:00 when the show had already started. We were the first people there that night and other people were finishing eating at this point and we didn't even have menus yet... We were livid! This is when it really gets good because I stop a waitress and ask her if we were ever going to get any service here (a little cocky, but I wasn't out of line). I really didn't think they were going to get us food.. I asked her for menus and she threw them on our table. The manager wouldn't take accountability for anything. He ended up bringing us burgers about 45 minutes later. Our friend never got to order, as he was still standing, so we had to split the two meals between the three of us. Can you imagine that? We finished our burgers as the show was ending and people were getting up to leave. Did that whole ordeal allow any of us to even enjoy the music? No. This was probably the worst service I ever had in my life and I will NEVER go back. What a shame that my husband's first time in the city had to end up this way. Yes, the food was good, the beer was tasty and the music great, but the attitude of management/servers was deplorable.
