    Cute Brunch Spot

My best friend and I do brunch every weekend at a different place. This time we ate at the Cupping Room and were not disapointed. For the price, the food was pretty good. I had the eggs benedict and she had the eggs florentine. The atmosphere was great - very cozy w/a skylight and plants in the windows. Food came out quickly and was hot. A few complaints: my eggs were a little over cooked (her's, however, were great), there could have been more ricotta in the eggs florentine, and drinks didn't come with the brunch as some places offer. All in all it was pretty good. I want to go back and try their non breakfast foods.

    What happened to this place?!

Have to question this one more time? What happened to this restaurant? I've been a customer of cupping room for the past four years. I don't live in the city but business brings me to nyc at least once a month. First off, the food is just getting harder and harder to swallow. My fav. is the Mexican omelette, but the last three times I ordered it, each time was a different size. And I always have to stress multiple times in order to get it not so well done. Not to mention service. I remember having great service when I first frequented this place, prompt, friendly, efficient and fast. Now I sometimes feel like just taking my food to go in order to not deal with the lack of sevice. I am convinced my last visit would be my LAST.

Great atmosphere, not so great food

Loved the atmosphere of this place, but after waiting for a long time our waiter finally took our order, then after waiting an even longer time our food finally came out (we got there at 12;45 and left at 2:30, it took that long for everything). My friend and I both had hamburgers which were NOT medium like we'd asked. On top of that, my friend's fries were hard like they hadn't been cooked, and mine were burnt like they had been sitting in the fryer for way too long. The server was very nice, and I understand they were really busy, but the food was just lousy. The desserts looked good, and the mocha my friend had was very good so I recommend this place for pastries and coffee. Go somewhere else for brunch.

    Love it

Great atmosphere, and vibe. the resturant itself is really cute and smells like baking bread . . yum. delicious everything, and the best french toast you can get anywhere (i've yet to try it supreme - with whipped cream raisins and granola, but I will next time). This place is always a favorite . . . great cappucinos as well and the service is always top notch.

    Fabulous Find!

I go to the Cupping Room just about every week for the past year. The food is consistently delicious . Their brunches always has a great crowd and their momosas are the best! Lastly, their service is always on key.

    Service was Awesome, Food OK

Our server was fantastic, kept our Ice Tea's filled, even offered to give us to-go cups b/c it was hot out! He apologized that the food was taking a while (it took all of 15 min at most). If I owned a resturant, I'd recruit this guy! Food is good, not amazing, portions are on the small side - $16 for a cobb salad is a bit much. Dining partner had a burger but got about 10 fries with it. Bar looked hoppin on a sunday afternoon. Seemed local vs. tourist target for the bridge & tunnel, which is all good for those of us who think SOHO has become a strip mall.

    Service was excellent!

We stopped in for a quick coffee and a muffin and were treated like kings! The area is uber-uptight and The Cupping Room is a breath of fresh air between the prada and chanel posers. Service was really fast and really nice - no attitude. Nice job! Would definitely go back!
