Tainted loyal customer
I have lived in the area for 8 years and have ordered from The Cottage throughout that period. I have had 2 very negative experiences with them recently. Tonight, we received the wrong order and didn't realize it until we had paid and unpacked our order. We ate the delivery as we were hungry and it was close. I called to express our displeasure (not expecting a refund), and was told that if I can't prove it then I am wasting my time. I called to give feedback.

Don't go there.
Going there for lunch turned out to be a nightmare. My wife ordered Broccoli with garlic sauce and bean curd. Her order arrived with no bean curd. When I told the waitress, she began berating me as if I had not ordered properly. Then she grabbed the plate and came back and with the bean curd. Later I saw her talking to the cashiers and laughing and looking back at me. Then I saw her talking to another waiter and laughing and looking back at me. My wife and I decided not to leave a tip. A male waiter came over to me and asked if I was going to leave a tip. When I said no, because the waitress had been rude, he yelled, "Don't come back here again!!" I won't.

Not recommended
Heard good things about the food but it was inedible. Literally the most unappetizing Chinese food I've ever had. I threw it out. My four year old wouldn't even eat it. Chicken and broccoli was poor and chicken was overdone. Sauces had so much sugar in them they were vile. No egg roll sent (mistake) and rude rude rude staff. Major Fail!

One of the best restaurants serving chinese cuisine
I went there last week, the food was excellent and came about 8 mins after i ordered. However, the service is quite poor, nevertheless the food is recommended and reasonable price.

Miserable Staff
The food is always good but the staff are miserable. I got take out recently and an egg roll was missing and the women at the counter responded as if I were trying to get a free egg roll. Needless to say, they never made good on the missing egg roll.

"Where's the pork"
I just ordered pork with garlic sauce. I order from them at least once a week. Normallly I amvery pleased. Today however, I ordered pork with garlic sauce. I got a plate of water chestnuts with garlic sauce. About 7 slices of pork each one quarter of an inch. If I wanted water chestnuts, I would have gone to the supermarket and bought a can for less.

Fast . tasty and great value
service has always been great , timely and helpful. food is plenty and very fair price. whiners here? went when they may be short handed , crowded , who knows... but when a good thing gets out there it will be taken advantage of and get busy... where can you eat a meal in a nice place with table linen in NYC for 7 bucks . shut up complainers. Children should not be allowed out unescorted
