My husband and I have been walking past this place for two years. We finally tried it today and it was great. If you like things a little spicy try the szechuan dumplings, they are delicious! We left the restaurant wondering if they deliver and they do! We would recommend this place to a friend.

My family and I have been eating there for quite a while, and it definitly falls under the hit or miss catergory. The lunch special is good, and any type of dumpling there is quite spectacular, but other than those, the food is generally subpar.

First of all, free wine with dinner! Now i know it comes from a box, but still. Not a place for a special evening by any means, but a nice, clean, cozy interior, good-enough service, great fresh food, at extremely good prices. Sometimes a wait due to its small size. Also, delivery is fast and again good food. Highly recommended for delivery and quick sit-down dinner. Oh and free wine!

Food-wise, it's not that great or spectacular, but for the price it's really worth it.

Great food. I have never been disappointed both sitting down and delivery. Relatively cheap prices, especially the lunch specials which are unbeatable.

Whenever there are positive (or raving) reviews, it is a great wonder what exactly is wrong with the person who is unsatisfied. Most of the time, if you are a nice person, waiters/waitresses/phone delivery people/etc. WILL be nice to you. There are exceptions of course, but the women at the cottage who take the delivery orders and who you pay for pick up are some of the sweetest creatures I've ever been served by. The food and the service at The Cottage are insanely excellent. And you absolutely can't beat free wine with a dinner.

I have a craving for the Cottage very often! You definitely don't go for the atmosphere. This is one of the places you rely on when you're far from Mott Street! My husband and I love the staples here - lomein, chicken and broccoli, General Tso's. My absolute fav is the dumplings in hot sesame oil! Fantastic food, ok atmosphere -- but get a seat by the window - you'll get awesome food AND good people-watching!
