My Fav Place in Brooklyn
Dear whoever said "save yourself the trip to Brooklyn", that's so funny because I was just thinking I wish you'd stay on the upper east side and stop coming to Brooklyn. Omg! We have so much in common. Anyways, the food and drinks here are awesome and cheap. Seat yourself and order from the bar is fine with me since I don't really like being served/waited on that much anyway. It can take a while to get served sometimes though cause the btenders are making tons of frozen drinks and taking the food orders. Tastiest chicken sandwich ever (go for medium), also the meats are organic. Try the Commodore, but avoid the Hurricane unless you're into making mistakes and maybe waking up next to a sea hag.

Consistently Subpar
I smack myself across the head every time I get dragged in here after a few drinks. The chicken has a nice crunch to it, but it's so greasy and flavorless, I never enjoy it. The biscuits are microscopic. Everything else I've had is "meh". Service is always poor. Crowd is typically not my speed (read: young and ridiculous). Prices are OK, but I'd rather spend that money on an enjoyable meal.

Great place to be a regular
The food in this spot is great and though it might not be the quickest meal of your life, its worth it to wait knowing it's being freshly prepared for you. The level of service depends upon who's behind the bar (since thats the only place you order) but it has seemed to have gotten better in the past several months. Avoid on the weekends because of the massive , obnoxious crowds but it's great early midweek when you can actually get a seat and enjoy 'Total Recall' on the little tv screen. Also, add tomato to the adult chesese and ask for hot sauce, it makes it soooooo much better.

amazing food, crappy service.
1st of all...Manhattan people...yes, please, "Save yourselves the trip to Brooklyn." Please do! The food is really damn good. Good value. The Commodore drink is addictive. The bartenders suck. You can't have it all I guess.

meh
Chicken is not impressive, biscuits are a joke, pulled pork was inedible as it was so dry. Everything else was ok. Staff is rude. Crowd obnoxious. Both times I've been to eat we had to stand. I don't understand the pull for anyone over 25, but

These negative nancy's have it all wrong
Wow, these negative reviewers are so wrong abt the food at this place! The quality of the ingredients and preparation are both great. The fried chicken is maybe the best you can get in the city , and the burger is also one of the best. Everything is really thoughtfully prepared, and the drinks are cheap and strong. Sure it gets crowded, but if you wait a bit you'll get a table. I've been in that situation plenty of times and something always frees up. this place rocks/

Caf Food
Basically College Caf food. If you are not under the influence I would not go here. Much fried, nothing delicate, crowded and "hip." Save yourself the trip to BK.
