Not Ready to Be Open
I went in for a quick lunch- soup- the blackboard outside said, "Special - Lobster Bisque". The place looks like it should be underground in a subway station arcade. Zero decor. No salt and pepper or napkins on the table. After I long wait, I got my "bisque" in a styrofoam cup. It actually was not bisque, more like chowder. Plastic spoon. I was suprised that the price was $10.50. No oyster crackers. No ambiance. Maybe they'll get it together. Not yet.

Top notch
I stopped in to The Claw because a friend of mine told me this new lobster place had opened up. I stopped by and was very impressed. The food was fresh and had a smooth flavor to it. I tried the lobster roll and the lobster mac and cheese and was in heaven. Although it is small the wait staff was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a pulse.

Fantastique!
Finally! Affordable seafood! We are very surprised by Vanessa's experience and review because ours was 180 degrees different. Most of the lobster rolls sold here in the City are mediocre at best and wildly over-priced. So, already assuming a mediocre offering, we were more game since it would only cost us $16. Y a know what? It was pretty good! We also had the lobster bisque soup and lobster quesadilla. All were pretty good. We definitely recommend and we will be returning very soon!

Great Lunch Spot
I've been living in Chealse for about 2 years, and have seen this place open up. I finally had the time to stop in one day on my way to work. The things that I liked about The Claw is the custom seats matching the colors of the wall. The music playing had a great summertime vibe. I orded a lobster roll and lobster bisque, both were perfectly seasoned. Suprisingly the lobster wasn't smothered in mayo or covered in spices, so you can taste the lobster meat. The bisque was exellent, it had large pieces of lobster and filled with great flavor. However it did not come with any crackers, which im a huge fan of. I did not expect much for service considering this is a small place which you could tell does mostly take-out. The staff was very friendly and brought the food out to me instead of calling out the order like most places do. The things I didn't like about The Claw was that the walls were empty and could use some art, I mean it is in Chealse. They did not have a bathroom so it would've been nice to at least a sanitizer dispenser. Last it could use a small table, for an extra utensil, straw, napkin, etc... It is a new place so I did expect it to not be to perfect. Overall this place is fantastic and I would totally recomend trying it.

bad food
The claw just opened in my area. I went there to have lunch. I had to throw the lobster roll away. The place was clean and nice looking. You do not get value for your money. They do not waited on you. I would never go back there again.
