    Downhill

I used to order from The City Grill 2 - 3 times a week but they've reduced their menu to only a few items. Sometimes, they don't deliver - no reason, just "We're not delivering tonight." Do they even care about staying in business anymore? Luckily, the UWS has many other options from which to choose.

    Changes

I have enjoyed the Grill for years. The new menu seems OK although there is much less choice (and I miss mashed potatoes). However my favorite is the Cobb salad which is still on the menu but they no longer have blue cheese dressing! I can't believe a restaurant without this. I will have to find another restaurant for my salads.

    steady decline...

Food qualtity, service and value are steadily declining. It's just not worth the prices, and the service has really taken a hit.

    No Complaints

Went here tonight at 7 p.m. We were shown to a table for two immediately. Service was friendly & prompt. Had a cobb salad which was delicious & my husband had the meat loaf which he loved. A real neighborhood find!

    Great Pricey Food, Inattentive Waiters

I can't complain about the food. The quality and quantity exceeded my expectations. It was cooked exactly as I ordered and was delicious. The atmosphere is nice too. Lots of window seats and really cool woodwork. The reason I won't go back is that the service is so slow. Took forever for someone to take my order and then once my food arrived, I never saw my waiter again until i was done and presented with the bill without even asking if i wanted coffee or desert. And the bill...$31 for lunch for one person was ridiculous. Never again

    Where everybody knows your name....

with the bartender, you can walk in the door and feel like the latest celebrity, and with the other guys and gals working the floor and tables, you'll get solid service. The food's not fancy but its good - the specials are generally good, and the wines are a good choice and a decent value. The flowers alone - presented by the lovely and talented manager - are worth the price of the meal. mprovements: Better desserts -keep it simple but make them good; a few low-brow specials for the regulars who eat here often, and one really healthy choice a day for those of us who consider CG our our dining room, more wine specials by the glass/bottle.
