The reason that this place is so dark is that they dont want you to see the worn out carpet and furniture. I cannot remember ever sitting in a restaurant or lounge where there were holes in the chair cushions and the couches were so threadbare that there were clear sections of foam upholstery showing. The carpets look like they were Korean war remnants, and the tables are so small that you could only fit a single plate on them. Clearly this place doesn't want you eating there. They would prefer you to light matches so that the very short menu becomes legible, and then order what are at best mediocre bar snacks. The quesadillas were okay but had a wicked chilli kick to them. The charcuterie was very basic and I think that the sliders were made with slices of processed beef, not hamburger meat. The only redeeming feature is that they had some good whiskeys, and I think other types of alcohol. The waitress crew of automatons, who, once you got their attention, brought what was asked for, never did think of supplying basics like a cigar clipper or lights, or even a bowl of peanuts. All in all it was a very disappointing visit and I walked away in the rain stinking of smoke because the venting system is inadequate. Clearly a place to send your enemies.
