Happy hour - drinks and snacks

While happy hour starts at 4 they don't serve food until 5, which can make for a dangerous hour of drinking on an empty stomach. Great selection of beers from brooklyn, also had a couple of drinks that used their homemade lemonade - very tart, not too sweet - fantastic with bourbon. The food was great - we had the pickle plate and an order of pate. While the half-sour pickles were a bit tame, the bread and butter and dill were powerfully flavorful and just delicious - especially paired up with the smoked whitefish and pate.

    Tacos and sliders

I have been to the Brooklyneer a handful of times now. The food is consistantly good and the beer selection is great. The pulled pork sliders and the chicken tacos are great. Don't sleep on the salted potatoes either.

    Pulled pork sliders

I've gone for the Brooklyneer for drinks in the past and have always wanted to try the food. Today I ordered the pulled pork sliders. They were really good and I have to say, the pickle that came with the order was excellent. I wish the sliders came with fries or something else for $11.

    Overcrowded after work joint

newcomer- overcrowded and overpriced. and they still need to learn how to tend bar. on top of that the drinks are a tad bit on the overpriced side and occasionally inconsistent in price. (have paid 7, 9 and 11 dollars for the same drink and all of this was well after happy hour) they are new and have yet to work out their kinks.

    Brooklyneer is Brooklyn-Great!

I love this place. Bartenders are all awesome - great beer selection (go with the Brownstone) and pork sliders are good too.

Solid new joint in SoHo/West Vill area

The Brooklyneer is a little off the beaten path, but totally worth it. They got a ton of Brooklyn beers on draft, tasty bar food, and a great house cocktail list that they call "house'tails." It's a good find, especially if you live nearby (which I do), as you know there is nothing around except delis which all close at like 6pm. Check it out.

Awesome new bar, but not a restaurant

I checked out The Brooklyneer last night with my girlfriend before our movie across the street. We originally wanted to have dinner there, but make no mistake - this is a bar that offers food, not a restaurant (think raw, wood tables, no silverware, etc.). That said, the food that we did have was great (Pulled Pork sliders and a pickled plate from Bklyn Brine), as were the cocktails. And the bar itself is beautiful. Certainly worth the detour, just make sure it's for a starter or some late night snacking.
