Great food with a healthy twist

Had breakfast/dinner at The Bowery Kitchen a few times while staying at The Bowery House (the hotel/hostel upstairs). Overall I was very impressed with the food, service, and decor. The Ravioli with spinach is amazing. They use whole wheat pasta, too! Breakfast might have been my favorite part. The french toast is awesome! So is the egg sandwich and the omelette. The salad with tuna was one of my favorites as well.

    Beautiful space, food and prices

Very cool design - loved the backlit mid-century concrete blocks. Legit sound system. Food was outstanding, especially for the price. Very friendly chef from Italy - stopped by the table to ask about our meal. Warm staff overall. Will be back - great neighborhood addition to an otherwise food-starved area of SoHo.

Great restaurant, if you hate good food

The eggplant parm was pathetic--3 small slices of barely-cooked eggplant drizzled with some marinara sauce and cheese, parts of which were cold and hard by the time the dish arrived. The sandwich was also bush league. The chicken was completely unseasoned, the avocado had started to turn brown by the time the sandwich arrived, and there was barely any cheese. Even the side salad was ruined by some foul tasting dressing. Seriously, how do you mess up a side salad? The fact that restaurant exists, with place like Parm and Ruby's around the corner, is amazing. I'm rating Bowery Kitchen's 'Food Quality' .5 stars because I suppose that what we were served technically counted as food.
