love this place
I am from San Antonio and I've got to say this is the best Mex I've had in NY. I go here all the time. Food is great and very reasonably priced. Big thumbs up for brunch as well.

Fresh
The food served here is extremely fresh and tasty. It is by far the best Mexican food in the area and potentially in NYC. Yes, the decor (and location) is somewhat lacking. However, I love the mural. Fast, accurate delivery.

Finally, a Mexican Resto in NYC
Being from Texas, I'm a bit of a snob about good Mex-food. i.e. I'm always in search for the next humble, arguably greasy, spanish speaking only (staff and menus), actual hot peppers/salsas place. This means anything other than nachos, burritos and canned [not-hot] jalepenos---another Texan friend took me here and after 8 years on the east coast, this is it. The atmosphere is homey, the waiters remember you, the mole is sweet, the salsa verde is hot (Texas/Mexico hot, not New York hot); everything on the menu is good, and for NYC standards, it's cheap...although you other Texans out there are probably just as annoyed as me to pay more than $1 for a taco, or $6 for enchiladas...try this place.

Ace's for Tex-Mex
Coming from Austin, Texas, I have been in New York for 5 years now, and I can count on one hand the places that meet my expectations for real Tex-Mex. The Little Place (as it's now called) may take my number one. I went there for the first time today, had the enchiladas suizas and my co-worker the costeno burrito. We were both very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. Felt a little overpriced, but I figured as much in the neighborhood. I'm not sure what others on here are complaining about - I can only assume that they have never tried real Tex-Mex. You can count on me being a regular here for lunch.

Not bad at all
Hey, I'm from L.A., so I'm hard to please when it comes to Tex-Mex! And I like the Little Place. You have to know what to order stick to the mole or the shrimp or the enchiladas. You'll get good cheap Mexican in a diner atmosphere. It's a pleasant place to read the paper, down a few beers, and stuff yourself.

Worst Mexican Food I Have Ever Had
I can honestly say, I have had better frozen Mexican meals then the sad piece of food that the people at The Bigger Place call a steak quesadilla (and charge $10 for). The steak tasted like something that had been defrosted and cooked in a microwave, with an extremely rubbery texture, and absolutely zero flavor. The rice itself was bland as well.

just OK
no wow. new to area. gave them 3 chances to wow me and, eh ~... the mole was good but the chicken stringy and low quality.. the shrimp taco decent, but no fish taco. and the tacos are bland. i like them like a street vendor with a bit of lime and cilantro. the "steak" was bad, at least on the tostado, but then again, its a tostado. transplant from UES where you can order anywhere and get a decent plate. at least they got the corona right. quick service though. delivery is good. but no wow.
