Feeling right at home
That's what you do here. The welcome (by the owner, I think) is most sincere; the Irish waitresses are charming, efficient, and accomodating. The atmosphere is great -- that warm, comfortable NY style Irish pub that's slowly becoming extinct. The food is ample, simple, and there's something for everyone. It is underseasoned, though -- I went through lots of salt and pepper. I wish this place a long life, and hope they will open a branch in my neighborhood!

Great Irish Pub!
A friend and I arrived to town late on a weeknight, fresh off a plane with no dinner service. We stumbled upon the Beekman and we're so glad we did. Even though it was late and the kitchen was closed, the owner went into the back and *personally* made us each a huge turkey sandwich. This is a great place to get a pint and some pub food, and the hospitality can't be beat. I'll never forget what a fabulous welcome I got on my first trip to New York, from the owner of the Beekman.
