    best BLT on a bagel

Oh man, oh man, I love these bagels. Too much. To be fair, I can't speak for their overall selection with too much authority, because I can almost never resist the BLT. The bagels themselves are massive and delicious, and most importantly they do not skimp on the bacon. Yeah, it can be a clusterfuck on the weekends--so deal with it! Don't come here expecting to be waited on hand and foot, come here expecting an enormous pile of BLT goodness so tasty and salty and delicious that you will crouch on the sidewalk outside just to eat the thing. Trust me. I've been there.

    Won't Deliver

I live about 6 blocks from this place-- I walked there a few days ago for a bagel-- and when I call they tell me to call the other store. I live on Union, just off of Metropolitan, and the other store is definitely a lot farther. That store, naturally, tells me to call the one on Metropolitan. I don't fault the one on Bedford, as they made sense to send me to the other one. But the one on Metropolitan are apparently lazy and don't feel like delivering outside of a three-block radius. Their food certainly isn't worth their attitude.

    Congrats Hipsters!

For making this very generic, poor quality and overrated dive a hit . I waited 15 minutes for my order to be taken, then they forgot what I ordered as they brought out the wrong thing. It seems like the guy who takes the order at the counter then goes back there to make my food, except for the fact that's a ridiculous system because as he's heading back there he is also taking 10 other orders. Not to mention having to look some 120 pound guy from Tennessee in tight jeans and asymmetrical haircut rave about the "classic ny bagels". Just because a place is small and a complete dump doesn't mean the food is good, and its most certainly not.

    I'm never going again!!

This bagel store used to be such a cute little place to get well made sandwiches made by a great team of servers. Somehow as they became more popular, their service and food quality dropped so dramatically that I'm never returning again! I find myself waiting 15 minutes for a simple bagel sandwich that they never seem to get right, which I end up paying $12 for. Goodbye Bagel store you'll be missed but easily forgotten... It's Brooklyn afterall. I'll just walk down the block and find another bagel elsewhere.

    Good Bagels

While this place isn't a cart on the street that will give you a buttered bagel for 75 cents, it also isn't a rip-off. The best part about this place is that they put the ingredients on both sides of their bagelsboth top and bottom. Get any kind of bagel with cream cheese for under 2 bucks and with the amount of cream cheese and toppings they put on, it will be more than enough. Their bagel sandwiches are cheap and filling as well. Add to that, their seasonal bagels are amazing. Try their pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese. It's like eating a piece of pie.
