The Bagel Factory

First of all, they get a star for delivering on weekends; which no one does. Then they get a star for being rather pleasant about it. And, the bagels are pretty good. The problem comes when the delivery gets to you. Today they forgot my coffee (my coffee!!) and put turkey bacon on my egg sandwich instead of regular. Last time I got regular cream cheese instead of veggie, and I think this is the second time (out of 3 or 4 orders) that they've forgotten the coffee. They aren't all that pleasant when you call to tell them the mistake either (I didn't bother mentioning the turkey bacon either..) So, I'm still waiting, 45 minutes after my initial order, for a cup of coffee - which is probably leading to my first ever negative review. I'm pretty grumpy without coffee.

The bagels are made here fresh on-site and are excellent. The shop has a huge beverage and cream cheese selection, hot breakfasts, hot and cold coffees, fresh muffins, and more and they delivery promptly if delivery is desired. You can tell a good shop when you see the same staff there year after year (no turnover) and meet lots of locals in the shop repeatedly. Great food and great staff. I left my iphone at the shop one morning in Oct and went back 15 mins later. It was gone (no surprise) and no one turned it in. A few days later, the shop owner told me he reviewed security tapes and recognized the person who took it. Today when I called for bagel delivery, the owner told me he had recovered my phone, and sent it to my house with the delivery guy! It works and it's back. I can't believe it. These guys are honest and fair and moreover, they serve up great bagels. Can't say enough good things about the staff or their bagels and I highly recommend.

The food is always very tasty, more so than the avg bagel joint; by far. The prices are very reasonable on some to fair-market-value on most. The delivery is very expedient and I have only ordered delivery(2-4 per week). My only, only, only qualm is that I continually feel pressure to tip waaay too much because the delivery guy will "search" very deliberately for "proficient" change. When I say, "just give me $4 dollars back,' he seems to always have trouble finding those elusive singles, giving me more than ample time to say, "just keep it, nevermind," turning my 20-25% tip into a 40-50% tip. The same Gypsy Trick Cabbies try here and there. Love the Food though, for what it's worth

My co workers and I order from here almost daily. Great food and very friendly people. The vegetable tuna is awesome!

Fresh, tasty, and very clean. The service is very quick and the prices are pretty decent. They have a large menu considering it's a bagel cafe. The best bagel I have had in Brooklyn!

Living about a block away, you could think I go to this place so often for pure convienience sake. However, I would gladly walk blocks to eat here. The bagels are always delicious and fresh, and the cold cuts and salads are fantastic. Along with a wide variety of cold cut choices, they also do very good breakfast bagel sandwhiches, and even complete breakfasts as well. Staff is friendly and accurate with your order, and usually have it ready for you in under 3 minutes. I can get a very satisfying lunch with a drink for 6 dollars, and a good breakfast sandwich and drink for usually under 4, depending on what I get. I highly reccomend it.

I have tried every bagel in the Slope and this is the one to eat! Many varities, always fresh, tons of the standard sides and usual Boar's Head meats and a young cool crowd. The service is crowded, hectic and fast. Great bagels!
