Half Wonderful
Went there for our anniversary dinner last night..My husband had the double cut pork chop, which was perfect, but the potatoes that came with it were so bad we thought they were instant (the server said they were real!) I ordered the Gnocchi, which were a bit too mushy, but the prosciutto that adorned it was excellent. The wine was good and the service was upbeat and efficient, but the room way too loud and too crowded for conversation. All in all, probably no return trip!

Adequate
Kind of a factory. Decent in all ways but nothing special.

Great pick for pre-theatre or lunch
My husband & I had the prix fix - 3 course theatre selections on Saturday nite. App-polenta w/ black truffle was fabulous. Husbands salad was very good. Entrees-Salmon w/ Balsamic-great! Ravioli was very rich-yum. Desert-Cheesecake delectible. Bread pudding very good. Prix Fix w/ wine flts 49. w/o wine 35. Memorable & worth the money. Service was professional & timely-let your waiter know if you are going to theatre. We recommend you make reservations several days in advance at 6:30p for 8pm show so as not to be rushed and truly enjoy your experience at Thalia. We went back for lunch the next day. Good burgers cooked to order with herb fries. My husband had the Eggs Benedict and the only negative was the very 'thin' slice of canadian bacon-definately could have been a bit more generous.

Tre Chic Thalia!
My friends and I are never disappointed with their creative and delicious dishes, whenever we stop here for lunch or dinner we know we're in for a great meal. Relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

subpar service
Food was great! But once seated, we waited for someone to come and take our order for 20 minutes... outrageous! Would have spent a lot more money on drinks if it didn't take 30 minutes to get our first. A table of six was seated after us, and was read the specials and served first course before we even ordered drinks.

Not a good REstaurant Week Value
Having passed by the Thalia forever, my husband and I decided to make a reservation there during Restaurant Week. We had tickets to Spring Awakening around the corner, so it was quite convenient. The atmosphere inside is lovely with recessed lighting and various levels. My husband had a wonderful polenta with mushrooms; very tasty. I started with the dungeness crab cake which was terrible: 1 small cake, and no discernible crab taste at all. This was followed by sea scallops, of which I had 2 on a bed of broccolini and a small portion of mashed potatoes. Altho the scallops were prepared well, only 2 does not an entree make! The dessert was fair. My husband had a lamb pasta which had a fair sized portion and was delicious. Perhaps it was the luck of the draw, but not a value for restaurant week. IF we go again, I'd concentrate on the pastas.

Pre-theater perfection
We got to the restaurant at 7:00 pm and had a show at 8:00. We were served immediately. We really liiked the bread and pate and the waiter even brought us seconds. The salad was very good and my pasta was delicious. We were at the theater by 7:30. Thalia's is a great choice for someone in a hurry who still wants good service and delicious food even when your in a rush. Sherri
