Restaurant week for me is an opportunity to try out a bunch of restaurants and in return I hope the restaurants participating offer an interesting selection of food from their menu to entice you back! Sadly Thalassa treated this as a way to make a cheap menu and turn around as many tables as possible. We weren't even offered the regular menu, and looking around the rest of the restaurant, nor was anybody else. I was given a half portion of soup. The waiter didn't ask if how anybody wanted their lamb and as a consequence what arrived appeared cremated. This was sent back and a new plate reappeared within 2 minutes, which kind of suggests the kitchen was a factory akin to school dinners. My fish was tasteless and if it wasn't for the capers it would have resembled chewing an old dish cloth. Finally, pudding was equally uninspired and before we even put our forks down the plates were whisked away and the check appeared on the table. Not that I would have risked a coffee, it would have been nice to have been offered. We stupidly paid double the tax tip but in retrospect wish we hadn't as this kind of attitude should not be ignored. I have no intention of ever returning.

The best seafood I had outside the seashores of Greece. The place is absolutely, tremendous design. Very comfortable. Attentive service with a pleasant smile. Wines from all over some very hard to find wines made easy. Appetizers specially prepared and plentuful. Fresh Fish. Amex Black worthy. Trying to convince myself to splurge for the 1982 Chateau Margaux - Margaux.

The food here is delicious: fresh and cooked perfectly. the menu offers a variety of seafood, a refreshing change from the standard fare. The restaurant is open and airy and the tables are spaced wide enough so that you are not crowded. The service is superb, we lacked for nothing during our dinner and the staff was polite and pleasant. It's a little out of the way but worth a trip.
