I like the name. It's clever. But the sad thing is that it also describes the portions. For the same price that you pay elsewhere, your portions are less than average size and I felt very dissatisfied leaving the restaurant. It's one of those places where after you're done with your meal you have the urge to go to a fast food restaurant to pick up some dollar menu items to fill the void. However, I will say the food was what I would have expected from a NYC Thai restaurant and the ambiance was pleasant. It was quiet, dimly lit, and a nice place to talk and enjoy another's company. But there are plenty of places that provide these amenities at the same price with better portion sizes! Go here once if the name intrigues you but other than that look elsewhere.

This place has very good inexpensive Thai food. That said, I have ordered from ThaiNY a ton of times and they always mess up the order, even when you tell them twice! The receptionists really can't understand or speak english.

Oh wow, what a Thai was not so good as reviews would have led us to believe...perhaps it was just an off day. We thought the portions were awfully small, particulary an appetizer where shrimps were like the size of peas (bag frozen). The curries were just your average NY thai/asian cuisine joint and nothing to write home about. One day, I hope a better Thai come into gem of Murray hil.

A touch of design. I have been eating out every weeken around NYC in past years. I am admitted that Thainy is one of most Hip Thai restaurant in NYC. It's a sleek and comfotable place. the food and service so far are fine standard Thai. Good creative menu and a nice price.....affordable.....

We love thai food and although we loved Spice, we have to say our favorite is ThaiNY. We order out and have ate there multiple times and it is by far the best Thai food in nyc. Service is great, the decor is very sleek and modern but most importantly the food tastes great. The prices are very reasonable.
