The best Roast Duck in NYC
Great food! Great service! Humble staff! Good drinks! Also, a special place for us. I proposed to my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. The manager was very accommodating and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne; even though it was not planned! Good place in every way!!

Awesome food and service
I recently was in New York and had the good fortune to eat in your restaurant. I am vegetarian and I asked for my food to be fixed in special ways with no salt and very little spice. The food was excellent and the waiter was also excellent. I have recommended the restaurant to friends who are in NY more often than I am. I will be sure to eat in ThaiSelect again.

Try the crabmeat fried rice!
9th Ave is becoming ever-populated with Thai restaurants...there is no need to go to any other. My husband and I usually cook at home, because we like food to taste amazing (not mediocre like MOST NYC restaurants - you MUST admit that!) but we order from this place about once a week or so. The crabmeat fried rice has REAL crab and I can't get enough of it! The green curry is nice and spicy! We get it with mixed seafood. Great service, and clean, modern decor too. This place is awesome!

nothing special
to be fair, i ordered lunch from here recently while in the office and i was not impressed. i stressed that my shrimp pad thai be spicy, and it arrived somewhat so; however, there was way too much sauce and the noodles were beyond overcooked. to say that newborns would have no problems chewing this is an understatement. shrimp were nothing special, but at least they didn't taste off. i wound up eating maybe half and tossing the rest, not even wanting to salvage it for another meal. not particularly impressed.

Best Thai Restaurant in NYC
Thai Select is absolutely the best Thai restaurant in the city. I considered moving to the West Side to be closer to it. Needless to say, everyone I take there loves it! The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is inviting. Their noodle dishes contain a generous serving of meat and veggies so you get a lot more than just carbs! AND their noodles are moist and served hot. The coconut shrimp appetizer is a must try. The roasted eggplant appetizer is delicious and I don't even like eggplant. For dessert, the fried ice cream is amazing. I don't know how they make the breading so light and crispy but it's perfect with creamy, cold ice cream. The chefs really know what they are doing. Try to go before 8pm and try their half-priced drinks during happy hour. The cocktails are fun, fruity and not too sweet. Overall, I highly recommend!
