Everything is so yummy. I dream about the white ginger chicken sandwich

    Pretty average

I love the concept of this place, and the food's pretty well-priced, but it really doesn't have a whole lot of flavor. The red basil sandwich is supposed to be spicy, but is just plain sweet, and the noodle dishes are far too oily. The only reason I'd go back is the Asian woman working there who speaks Spanish. She is a honey!!

    No More Delivery?!?

I used to love this place but recently things have changed. There is a new hot sauce, new ingredients and new staff. But the biggest change is they no longer deliver! I hope they change their mind soon and return to their old ways.

    Terrific, Healthy AND Inexpensive!!

There are myriad interesting and inexpensive restaurants in the East Village, but Thai Me Up is a standout well worth going out of your way for. Salads, dumplings, soups and pad thai are all delightful, but the baguettes are especially brilliant. Be sure to tear away the wrappings AS you eat them: these are sandwich dreams and yes, they WILL drip down your arms -- and you wouldn't want to miss one drop of their exquisite flavor. Most TMUers I know belong to the Cult of White Ginger (and believe it when you see that little pepper denoting spicy!). The food is always fresh and it's fun to watch the cooks at work. The owner must have mellowed out; he and his staff are always very pleasant and efficient. The only downside is that it can occasionally get a little warm inside - but hell, have some of the hot sauce and you'll never notice. Delicious, inexpensive, healthy - who knew fast food could be so good?

    fathaistic!

Tried it some months ago and have been going back often since. Love the food (the pad thai is excellent) and the place is very cozy. Nice, friendly staff. Definitely recommended!

    take out, enjoy

I ordered shrimp dumplings and shrimp pad thai which were both quite good. Its cheap, and large portions (except for the dumplings) but still worth it! I wouldn't necessarily bring a date there because its more of a take-out than sit-in.
