Does not deliver above 121 street. What a disappointment.
So we were all excited to order from them and were very disappointed that they refused to deliver above 121 street....even tho we are 3 blocks away from their cut off line and right on Broadway....they said it was too far....Otherwise, this place is one of the better Thai food in the neighborhood.

Thai food that is actually Spicy!
I have traveled extensively in Thailand and Thai Market is the first local restaurant in NYC (that I have been too) that actually serves spicy dishes and will even fulfill your request to make 'em extra spicy if you like it like that. This place is my family's go to "take-in" place when we are lazy or the place that we bring friends to eat at if we are going out in the neighborhood.

Best Thai I have had in NYC
Thai Market's food is spicy and fresh quite unlike the typical, sugary Thai food I have experienced in NY.

Great food! Inconsistent hours.
This restaurant has fantastic dishes- the salmon with curried rice is delicious, the Siam Duck is cooked perfectly. You can get Thai pork sausage, a favorite of mine that I don't often find. The Kow Pad Poo is very good, so is the Sen Mee Neau Peuy. For the less adventurous, even the Pad Thai has more depth of flavor than most of what you can find in the city. The only dish that falls flat is the Pra-Ram, which is watery, and more sweet than peanutty. It's oddly out of place on this menu. The dishes are consistently of the same quality (so important). The worst thing about Thai Market, is that they don't open on time, and they quite frequently close early- maybe a half hour to an hour early. Delivery often stops maybe 45min to an hour before the delivery time on the menu. They're not exactly polite about it. So call before you leave so that you don't schlep there to find them closing.

Downtown Uptowm
I will start this review by admitting that I've struggled in years past to find a decent meal with an urban feel on the Upper West Side and Morning Side Heights in particular. Thai Market has come in and changed the game. Atmosphere: The ambiance at Thai Market is fresh, kind of 'clubby' and slightly hip. If you didn't know you were uptown, you could possibly think you were downtown. For those of you who are tired of trekking the the East/West Village for a meal that feels like an adult experience, this is the place you're looking for. Also, the bar itself is also nice, so if you just want to have a place to meet you friends and have a few drinks, Thai Market won't disappoint. The Food: I will give the food an above average rating. As another reviewer mentioned earlier, there are so many Thai restaurants in the city. Many of them serve food that is sauce and sugar laden. Thai Market trends in this direction, but not as much as some other Thai restaurants I've been to in New York. I do say, I favor their Green Vegetable Curry. A tip: pony up the additional 2 bucks for extra vegetables. You'll get twice the meal for next to nothing. The Service: I've only been to Thai Market once, so please bear this in mind; however, I have no complaints about the service. When I went, it was very crowded. My friend and I had to wait at the bar for about 15 minutes, but when a table opened up we were seated promptly. Our server checked on us a few times before we were ready to order, and he was very patient with our indecision, assuring us we could 'take our time.' Even though it was busy, we didn't feel pressured to 'get it and get out.' Assessment: you cannot lose. We paid less than $40, including tip, for 2 beers, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The food and service were good and the price was more than right. If you like Thai and you live in the vicinity, feel confident in your choice to dine here.

Great Day Menu
We just came back from Thai Market and had 3 dishes from the daily offer. Everything was extremely fresh, and the spices were perfectly balanced. Great value for money!
