The best green curry that i 've ever had

Actually, green curry is my favorite. so, i always try green curry in every Thai place but last week I had a chance to try green curry of Thai Basil restaurant. Since that day, I realise this is the best green curry that i have ever had. It was so good. I like it so much.

    don't do it...

i live right across the street and ordered their lunch special today - pineapple chicken and tom yum soup. the delivery man could not understand a word of english. the bill was $11.50 and I gave him $20 and he started to walk away with it? When I asked him for change he mustered up $6 from his pocket .. I guess it's not his fault he doesn't understand. Being Asian, I've frequented tons of Thai restaurants and this has to be the least authentic. pineapple chicken was in some kind of soup base/gravy concoction. I just picked out all the chicken and ate with the plain rice. Soup was ultra tangy, like drinking vinegar water with mushroom and 2 pcs of shrimp (definitely frozen kind, no taste) floating around. The only silver lining is that this is the only place around here that offers coconut juice drink but I forgot t order today :(

One of the best padthai's i have tried

have only ordered for delivery and thus far, this is the best padthai i have tried for delivery. Papaya salad a bit garlicky, but that could be good for some people. Very tasty, just a bit too strong for me. Have not eaten at the place, so no comment about atmosphere or service. They were quick for delivery.

    At work we love it!

My coworkers love ordering from this place. In my line of business ordering out is a huge thing and getting great food is such a joy! From the quality of meat to the dishes for a strict vegetarian Thai Basil has it all. All of the traditional thai foods are really good. I recommend this place! My favorites include Pad Cee Eww with Tofu/Veggies and the all of the curry dishes! The spicy pad thai could have a little more kick!

great to eat in or for delivery

i've eaten dinner here (it's very tiny, but they are very nice and try to seat you as quickly and as comfortably as possible), and i've also ordered dinner from here a few times (and plan to order dinner from here again tonight and am very excited about it). with both eating in and getting delivery, i very much enjoyed my food. for a reasonable price, this is very reliable thai place.

    Best Kept Secret

I frequent Thai Basil quite often, especially for lunch. Their lunch menus are very delicious and reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed with the food, no matter what you select from the menu. Every time I visit this joint, I can never leave without trying their fabulous coconut soup, and I'm not even a mushroom person. Enjoy!

Don't Be Fooled By The Hype

I randomly picked this place 'cuz it's close to my job and the reviews seemed to be excellent. I don't know what they got or what's wrong with their taste buds...but the food was extremely sub-par. Maybe you'll have better luck with another dish ...but I'll tell you what NOT to get. Pad thai was horrible (and I'm a pad thai fanatic) and the veggie duck was questionable at best (and I know what it's 'sposed to taste/look like). The food was delivered quick, but it wasn't worth the $16 (for p. thai/spring rolls/ and a pathetic salad) that literally just went in the garbage.
