disappointing
Rooftop dining was a wonderful atmosphere. Food quality was pretty poor - rubbery seafood, low quality tomato sauce. Bread is served with olive oil only (and not a good quality oil) - no seasonings or cheese added. Waiter actually picked up our credit receipt after the meal and looked at his tip in front of us, before we even left the table. Told the Matre'd and the owner, so this isn't a surprise to them

fake italian
Clueless chef. Service has the unfortunate combination of arrogance and ignorance. Obvious management problems. No vision with the cuisine. Spot not suitable for its main focus, i.e. desperate tourists looking for a quick bite.

Great pre theater menu
We ate last night and the price fixe pre theater dinner menu value was terrific. Bread was excellent, food was good. The server did try to up sell several times, but I am quite immune to that. Would definitely good back. The upstairs outdoor dining was quite nice.

Excellent Italian!
I've eaten here on numerous occasions and have always had a pleasant experience. The food and service is great and when the weather is nice you can't beat dining on the roof deck. Their wine selection is quite extensive as well.

Enchanted
My wife and I came across this beautiful place by accident and are we glad we did. We have been back several times in fact it is our favorite place on 9th Ave. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The wine list is extensive even by wine geek standards. The last time we ate there the weather was warm and mild so we had dinner on the rooftop. What a wonderful experience. We had never enjoyed a more romantic dinner in NYC. Guys this is a home run.

Terrace is amazing!
This is a great place to be from the roof deck to the wine cellar. We ordered wild boar and caciucco toscano, and was fabulous!. The service is friendly and attentive. If you want to be seated on the roof deck, try to get there ahead of time, We waited 30 minutes, but we enjoyed the experience.

Bland food
Unpleasant service from the minute we walked in the front doors with the host scrambling, no greeting, long wait just for water and wine, even longer wait for food. Food was terribly bland. I would NOT recommend this place -- especially with so many other great restaurants in the immediate area.
