Pros: Decent food. Good margaritas. Good music and ambiance. Cons: Slow service, cold food, artificial wait-time, poor value. Definitely seems like a nice addition to the area, especially with the lack of good Mexican food in Manhattan. The decor and setup is nice. If you want to check the place out, definitely make a reservation. They create an artificial wait time (at least on weekends) - we waited for a supposed "one hour" wait for a table without reservations because we were up for trying the margaritas at the bar. At least a fourth of the tables remained unused for an hour and a half as we "waited" for reserved patrons. After two hours had past (catching up with old friends), we only got a table because we left a complaint with the manager as we planned to leave. The service was slow, despite the manager stepping in to try to make things right. The veggie, pork and mahi tacos were good, although they came out kinda cold. The fries were really good too. We were happy to get the food and it was good... but $14 is a bit much for cold tacos after hours of waiting. For drinks, go with the spicy cucumber margaritas if that sounds like something you'd like. Skip the hibiscus margaritas - taste like vitamins.

first off the guac and chips might be the best i have had and I love Mexican food.mahi mahi tacos were just amazing with a slaw on top which was insane in flavor.The server was fantastic.Drinks too maybe a few minutes long but were def worth the wait as i have never had a Margarita this good.dessert we had a sundae called a Parfait which 6 of us could have shared but was maybe the best Sundae i have ever had.I am recommending this place with 2 thumbs up!!!!great work Teqa team!

First of all I came here with 2 friends and the decor and lighting were stunning. We ordered the nachos to start which were fresh and delicious. For entrees we ordered the mushroom quesadillas, chicken, pork, and tilapia tacos, and the caesar salad. For sides- french fries and grilled corn. Oh my goodness. The mushroom quesadilla was buttery and absolutely amazing. My friend was impressed with her tacos which looked and tasted gourmet. My other friend told us that it was the best caesar salad she's ever had, and I tried it and have to agree. The salad was garnished with these spicy, chipotle pumpkin seed clusters and I seriously cannot wait to go back and order the salad again. I can't help but think we ordered the best sides-- the grilled corn were these mini hot off the grill corn on the cob served with their "house sauce" and sprinkled in cheese. Next time I'm going to request an entire plater of just the corn I couldn't get enough!!! The french fries were just as fresh as anything else we were served, perfectly crispy. I recommend every who goes orders a plate because you will not be let down. In addition to amazingly delicious food, we were excited by their cocktail options. My favorite so far is spicy cucumber margarita but I intend of returning and sitting by the bar (which was full and lively on a Wednesday night) and trying one of everything!! For dessert we all shared the "sea-salt tainted brownie with dulce de leche." The minute it arrived I can tell the dinners around us were envious because of the hot brownie smell that filled the area. It was big enough for all 3 of us to share. I don't even think I need to describe how good it was-- salty, chocolate-y and nothing can go wrong with dulce de leche ice cream- nothing. Service was good, atmosphere was lively, food was to die for and the drink menu is enough for me to want to spend hours at the bar. I'm recommending this joint to everyone I know. In short-- YUM.

We tried this new restaurant last night. It was great..a young, hip scene, and the food was delicious. Will def go back soon.

The limited bland overpriced menu is flat out disappointing. I've never seen such flavorless undersized portions in my life. Hard, dry unmashed guacamole appetizer, tasteless miniature steak, shrimp, and shortrib tacos drenched in some mystery mayo sauce called teqa sauce. Margaritas in tiny highball glasses. If you prefer salt or no salt just flip a coin because that will be more accurate than what you actually receive. The service is so poor you forget it is even a full service restaurant. They have like 2 servers for the entire restaurant with 10 busboys that can't do anything but request your server or take your plate or glass the first second something empty touches your table, whether you were done or not.
