The sushi here is OK, I have had better and it is quite expensive especially the drinks. The service at the UWS location as well as this one is snooty and not gracious. I only go to the UES location over the warm weather months in order to sit outside.

I have eaten at Tenzen before and found the foods to be very fresh. I had a delivery and it was very disappointing. The rolls were not tasting fresh and they lack the zing factor. The simple Hijiki salad was so BLAND and had no zest to it.

I get take out from this place and have been very happy with it so far, especially since I've had so much bad sushi from other places in the neighborhood lately! Everything here is good - the soups, rolls, tempura, etc.

The sushi is generally very good and fresh. Rolls are very thick with only a little rice which is amazing. If you are spicy tuna fan, I find theirs below average.
