I visited Tenzan for the first time a few weeks ago. The sushi is very tasty and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, the prices are extremely reasonable. For the price, this is one of the best sushi spots in the city. I highly recommend this place!

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and we were pleasantly surprised how fresh everything was. We had to wait because it was so busy but I must say, it was well worth the wait. The staff was excellent and accommodated our needs. The prices were not too high and very reasonable for the amount we ordered. "Spicy girl" was our favorite roll. I will definitely return again! They informed me of a new location on the upper east side which I will be going to dinner tomorrow night since my experience at this location was excellent...

I agree with the below review of soupy spicy tuna. Def dont order that. Also the sushi rolls come apart when you pick them up. Good specialty rolls, miso soup, salad, negamaki. Service is good, cafeteria style atmosphere, very nice staff! Overall good for a quick takeout when you are in the mood for some sushi if you live nearby. If you walk by, packed 7 nights a week!

Really good fresh sushi for not out-of-these world prices.. The four of us ate plenty and were shocked that the bill was low. Everything was decent and super fresh, but we had to wait a while before getting seated although we had a reservation. The waitress however was very friendly and the food came out right away once we got our orders in. Go here if you don't mind a little poorer service and need a nice value dinner for a casual family night out.

We always order delivery from this place. Food is consistently good, not exactly a bargain but still worth it. Had dinner at the actual place only once, atmosphere is OK, not the best first date spot, too much of a family vibe.

The spicy tuna roll was extremely disappointing. It was so overladen with sauce that the pieces collapsed in on themselves when grasped with chopsticks and made me want to gag. Otherwise, the food was great, particularly the Kanpachi Hako.

I've tried most of the sushi on the upper west side, and this was by far the freshest and best.
