Love this place!
My wife and I live in the area and just love this place. The specialty rolls (Green River, Yellow, and Red) are excellent. Delivery is super fast and dining in is always fast and easy also. Highly recommended.

Good Japanese on 2nd Ave, East Side
Have had better sushi but teriyaki shrimp was excellent. Nice restaurant within walking distance of my hotel. Would go again.

good sushi great value!
i eat lunch here at least 3 times a week - the sushi is incredibly fresh and incredibly tasty. i get the sushi lunch special - amazing deal. that said, i'm not a huge fan of their rolls, the salmon avocado is good, but i'm not crazy about the spicy tuna or yellowtail scallion. something about the consistency of their minced fish isn't right, but the sushi/sashimi and everything else is perfect.

Not Good
I am confused why so many people have given Tenzan such wonderful reviews. As a sushi lover, I have found the sushi at Tenzan to be some of the worst I have had in the city. . I find the spicy rolls to be almost --unedible. Given the surrounding alternatives aka Yasuda, Yama 49 and Sushi Seki (some of the best in the city) I am truly surprised of the write-ups I am reading. It is unfortunate this is the case as I live a block away but even with the convinience factor, Tenzan is not a place I will be going again.

Amazing sushi
I don't know what half these people are talking about, this place is GREAT! Their fish to rice ratio is what keeps me coming back. They pack each roll with so much fresh fish and use just the right amount of rice. Their fish is always fresh and they're rolls are beyond satisfying, two will have you completely full. My all time favorites are the spicy like, spicy crunch, spicy tuna and peanut avocado. Their salmon avocado is really good too. I think you can pretty much order anything on this menu and it'll be delicious. I cannot get enough Tenzan! :)

Noisy
Familiar with the UWS Tenzan, I decided to give this one a try at lunch. It was so noisy that I will never go back! Putting all diners in one huge room with furnishings that help the sound bounce all over helps makes the place noisier. Good value if you do not eat in.
