An expensive meal can still be a great experience if value is received. Unfortunately, our dinner featured a combination of poorly prepared food (a halibut entree that was dry and overlooked), service that was pathetically slow despite our informing the server that we had to catch the beginning of a play, and an uncaring attitude when we told the server how inedible the food was.

I found this place on a whim. Went with my mother who has been living and dining in manhattan's best for 30 years and even she was impressed. Small venue but cozy, great wines and helpful waitstaff to do pairings and suggest dishes. Food has an earthy vibe but very creative and beautiful presentation. And delicious!

Amazing restaurnt! Food is beautifully prepared and presented. Wine list is superb. Pork was the best my husband has ever had. Porchetta raviloli was great this is a hidden gem in midtown!

This is yet another overpriced NYC Hotel restaurant. I don't understand why many hotel-located restaurants are such rip-offs. The food is uninspired and you feel like a tourist here.

You walk into a bland modern hotel and see the bar through the lobby. Where's the restaurant, you wonder? It's in that bar! A weird set-up, with a post-work drinking crowd that dwindles as the evening goes on. But... The service is welcoming, friendly and efficient, the tables are comfortable, and the food... Wow! totally unexpected. The vegetable plate app is insanely varied and creative. The sea scallops with chanterelles are luscious. The halibut is clean, vibrant... impeccable. And the rack of pork, oh my, comes with its own little apple pie, the sweetness of which is set off by the tangle of dandelion greens. A great wine list. We two downtowners generally avoid midtown at all costs, but this place was definitely worth the schlepp.
