My wife and I came in here after a Joyce Theater performance. I quickly realized that I had been here before. I can't hold that against the restaurant, but I can hold the food and pricing. The prix fix looks good for $28. Maybe if we'd stuck to that, the bland pasta primavera or the very salty eggplant parmigiana wouldn't be so bothersome. It's our fault that we didn't check the wine or dessert prices to see that a medium-poor Montepulciano was $11, or that their much-touted apple tart -- dry and stale -- was $9! This is not a top-shelf restaurant. Both it and the French place in the back are half-empty. You can see where they get you. The servers were OK, no more. Like another reviewer said, this was my first time and will be my last at Tello's. There are better places!

After a wild Tequila haze of a Friday night, I woke up Saturday morning in brunch mode. My roommates and I decided to take a stroll down 8th ave in hopes to stumble across a place with outdoor seating and bottomless drinks. Eventually we came across Tello's, asked the hostess if the was a bottomless drink special.. there was +$12 to any entree, for the location it was a pretty sweet deal and was a no brainer. We were seated, ordered, got the drinks fast, and the food came out in like 10 mins. I ordered the Vanilla French toast, and consumed it in record speed, as far as french toast goes you don't get much better than Tello's. As for the bottomless drinks, it was totally worth the $12 as the waiter kept the drinks flowin the entire time we were there, we didn't even need to ask. Overall I couldn't have been any happier with my brunch experience at Tello's and will definitely will return! I haven't checked it out for dinner yet, but will look to do asap.

We visited Tellos last week and we had a very good time.We saw the HAPPY HOUR sign outside and that's what drew us in.The happy hour has dollar oysters and clams and two for one drinks. They have TWO HAPPY HOURS everyday from 1-7 & 10-closing.After having two rounds of drinks we decided to stay and have dinner.Glad we did.It made our night.

The food arrives cold and it's over priced. Every time I have ordered from them they are rude and the food isn't worth it.

Had an awesome dinner here with some friends. Everyone ordered from the pre-fixe menu. We had fried calamari with a tasty spicy dipping sauce and duck liver pate for appetizers. Filet of sole and leg of lamb for entrees. Simply delicious! Attentive service from wait staff. Mellow and relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the meal the waiter gave us complimentary biscotti. A great dining experience from start to finish. Will definitely be coming back!

As we walked up 8 Ave. we stopped by Tellos it was the busiest restaurant on the 8 Ave. strip. We went in for a drink and stayed for dinner. The food, atmosphere and service was that of a four star restaurant. We will be back.

Friday night I met a good friend of mine for our "annual Holiday dinner. We always try to find someplace special and I must say the only problem at Tello was that it got too crowded. It is the season when everyone is out so I did understand and there was a party of 10. The waitstaff was excellent, the Maitre'd came over several times to check how everything was. We had to special dinner for $19.95 and we both enjoyed what ordered. We are both looking forward to going back and I may go back soon.
