One of the Best UWS
We enjoyed an excellent dinner, the first courses were very good especially the soup, the Artic Char was perfectly done as was the Lobster with pasta. The Pineapple Upside Down cake is a little weak and we believe other deserts may be a better choice. The very pleasant wait person explained the menu and delivered good service.

Great find on the UWS
Was lucky enough to stumble onto a side street and find this amazing restaurant. The host staff was great, and accommodated a us as walk ins on a pretty busy night! Attentive, friendly server, and we took his suggestions and ordered the smoked trout and lobster bolognese...WOW!! So good. I will definitely be back back, and can't wait to try their brunch. Next time I think I will sit at the bar, they have a pretty neat bar scene and on our way out we were told they serve personal sourdough pizzas as a special only at the bar...can't wait to try!

Good food, Poor service
I had a late dinner this Sunday, and have to say the food was very good. However, the service I received from my waiter was the direct opposite. He was snobby through out the whole night. And to top all that, our table paid with cash, and with a stupid mistake, we missed one 20 dollar bill. He took the check, and rushed back to my table, and laid out all the cash on the table saying "I don't understand this!".

Extraordinary
this was our second time dining at Telepan. The first time was for dinner, and it was spectacular. Two months later, and we can't stop raving about it. Came in for brunch with friends from out of town, and again we were not disappointed. Very attentive service, even for a busy sunday brunch. The food came out perfectly timed. The smoked trout was definitely the star of the show. With six of us, we were able to taste most of the menu. Big burger plates, The hanger steak was very nicely cooked- perfectly rare. The sweet dishes were not too sweet, but hit the right spot. Tres leches from the dessert menu and the Cream cheese sundae are out of this world. Central Park is a block away, perfect for walking off the meal. Don't miss out on Telepan!

Best Restaurant on the UWS and among the Best in the City
I dined here with my husband on Saturday evening and we were extremely pleased. The food was delicious, the atmosphere beautiful and the service friendly, knowledgeable and in a word - perfect. Our waiter, Elez, was extremely patient (indecisive as we were) and steered us in the right direction with all of his recommendations. We both had the tasting menu (my husband with the wine pairing) and not only was everything perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was a great value. We will definitely dine here again and if you haven't tried it yet, you should.

Fantastic Dining Experience
This was my 2nd dining experience at Telepan and experienced wonderfully prepared food and its presentation. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful with wine selection. Bottom line - an unbelievable dining experience.

Rude!
While the food is good here, the waiters are unbelievably rude. Why anyone working for tips would have such a bad attitude towards people paying $35 for an entree is very puzzling. If the owner paid as much attention to his hiring standards as he does to his food it would be a great place.
