    Holy Tacos Batman!

Perhaps the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had. All sorts of sauces and spices to choose for, allowing you to customize your spicyness... I left this place sweating with blood shot eyes, but very happy. I had El chorizo y papas & el pollo. Both were great, although the chorizo was slightly better IMHO. $2.50 tacos is a great deal, especially with how high quality this place is. People- get away from your computer and go get some tacos! boo ya!

    Delicious~

I love buying lunch from this place. The only pity is that it is cash only and I rarely carry cash, but you can bet when I do I only order from them. I've yet to have something mediocre and I am slowly working my way through the entire menu. You really can't beat the value. Best Mexican food I've had since leaving California!

    Amazing Authentic Mexican Tacos

My buddy and I went here last night because he read about this place in Time Out NY this year. When you walk in you have to go all the way to the back, its like a deli with a taco stand in the back. Regardless, on the walls there are all sorts of magazine articles about this place so you know it must be good. We orded 7 Tacos total for $14, they were $2 each. Anyway, the tacos are great, thats all they have. It comes with Meat and Pico De Gallo. Of course Salsa comes with them as well. Its a bit small but you can eat in there if you would like. WE just got a 6 pack of Dos Equis ($10) and went back and watched hockey and ate Tacos. I cannot wait to go back. They do deliver as well. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Have not found a place like this in NY since I have been living here for 5 years. Only one of its kind.

    Not Sure???????

Ordered delivery. Gave atmosphere a 4 as I saw pictures online and it is what the sign says. Delivery was quick but... 3 tacos for $6 is great. $6 for chips and salsa? And they forgot the chips. Still waiting for those spendy chips. Menu on this site says $.75 for small salsa. That is what I ordered. So the imaginary chips were $5.25. Salsa is pico de gallo with unripe tomatoes. No sauce for tacos? Bistec was dry and not so good. Carnitas were nice. Pollo good as well.

    Authentic Mexican Food for Cheap!

I just moved into the neighborhood, and what a great surprise to come across this little gem, especially for someone like me who is a homesick Texan. While it isn't necessarily Tex-Mex, it is actually just quite as good, if not bettter. The potato and sausage tacos are out of this world, as well as the potato and jalapenos. We also love the carnitas tacos and the Mexican sodas. I highly recommend this hidden jewel to anyone who is craving some great Mexican food for cheap! They're quick and friendly with their delivery as well!

    dang

I've been eating tacos all over manhattan, and these are the best. They make the only chicken taco I have ever eaten that was worth eating at all, and it is really, really good. Tehuitzingo isn't 100% consistent - i've had dry lengua and the only time i ordered chicharron it was completely non-crispy. but i've eaten here many times now and usually it is awesome. Also, the commenter below who didn't like his al pastor must have been at a different place... tehuitzingo doesn't make an al pastor.

    A hidden gem

Wow! TimeOut Magazine was right about this place. When I headed to the back I noticed a crowd of people eating and waiting for their orders. I felt as if I was ordering from a taco stand somewhere in Mexico. Very quick service and I did notice that one has the option to put either homemade salsa or bottled hot sauce on their tacos. Although the homemade salsa verde was not spicy it did have a nice flavor. The goat meat was tender and crispy and the spicy pork was full of spicy pepper flvor.
