Pretty good, but long wait and LOUD!

5 of us just went for lunch from work, and the food was pretty good, but it took FOREVER (about 40 minutes) to get the food. It's so loud and the tables are packed so closely that we could barely hear each other talk. Also, they have free refills, which is nice, but the waitress asked if I wanted more seltzer and they brought me water instead.

Poor service, so-so food, but convenient

Ted's is right near my office which makes it an obvious choice for a postwork drink. So out of sheer inertia i'll probably end up still going despite my main complaint: terribly slow service. Took forever for the bar waittress to order and then fetch our drinks from the bar a few feet away. And when we did finally get them, the wine was in hot glasses fresh from the dishwasher but still sort of dirty--you know that crusty stuff you get on washed but not scrubbed glasses? That's what we got. We didn't bother sending back for fear of waiting another 15-20 minutes. Then to get a second round of drinks took way too long, too, to the point where trying to even order them was distracting us from talking to one another. The food is all right (good chili cheese fries), and actually the chef that night very personable and apologetic about one item being unavailable. But overall it's a little too bennigan's to warrant true loyalty. But like i said, i'll probably still go. It's vast and close.

    Birthday Lunch

A group of us from work went to celebrate a birthday. We had about a 10 minute wait for our table which was okay, however after placing our order shortly after being seated we waited close to 45 minutes for our food which at lunch time is not acceptable. And after waiting that long for the food, two of us who had ordered bacon (well done) for our burgers, could not eat the bacon - it was hardly cooked. The french fries while very tasty were not very hot. While having ordered a 'beef' burger the taste was not what one is used to when biting into a regular burger and I cannot help but wonder if we (or at least myself) was not given a 'bison' burger even though that was not what was ordered. And while we cannot say for sure it was our food that caused two to have somewhat 'ill effects' that afternoon, one cannot help but wonder? Over all we will not be going back.
