Bison place in NYC
The bison filet I had there was off the hook!!! And you get to choose ANY two sides with it - so I got parmesan creamed spinach which was very tasty ans their famous onoin rings. Service was wonderful - our waitress was very smiley and had great attitude. Will recommend to friends

Worth going once
Went on a friend's Epicurean whim... said friend had a bison steak which was pretty good, another friend had chicken that was well prepared, and I had a bison burger which was a slightly-above-average burger. The atmosphere is a little damp, but the service was friendly (Sunday 4PM) and at a good pace. Prices are a bit higher than the quality, but OK. This is a hit-or-miss place; you'll have to go for yourself to find out.

Nothing Special
Given the atmosphere, I expected much more. The quality of the beef cuts was average. The service was below standards. The staff also acted as if they were being bothered and requests were meet with lackluster attitude, not too mention the wait. It is not a place I would recommend to friends given the choices in the city.

Loves it!
I am a huge fan of bison so I have been waiting for this place to open for quite awhile. It truly lived up to my high expectations. Service was excellent and very attentive. The bison chili was amazing as was the burger. My date had a NYStrip and ate every bite. Everything was perfectly cooked to our liking and the sides were great too. We were truly impressed and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Not that impressive- Great apple crisp
We went there late on a weekend recenlty. The ambience is nice in that the seating is not so condensed as in other NYC establishments. The waiter was very pleasant and upbeat. A few gripes- we both ordered dishes that came with fries. We were initially just served our burgers and then after managing to flag our waiter he told us that they were having problems with the fryer and he would get us the fries very shortly. After him stopping by 4 more times to say they would be at our table in "2 minutes" they ended up being delivered to our tables literally 25 minutes AFTER we were done eating our burgers. Fine-ok- so they had problems with the fryer- however this was not consistent with the fact that we saw 7 or 8 other plates being served with fries in that 25 minutes. Unacceptable as we ordered fries first and people who sat down after us were getting served their fries. The waiter was apologetic however no offer of comping the fries or dessert. In addition, the Bison burger had this off taste that is hard to articulate. That said the apple crist was amazing!!! Definitely better choices in midtown.

Liked it
I went with a friend before hitting a play on a Wednesday evening. First, there was no wait. Second, the staff was so friendly I almost felt like I wasn't in NY. Third the food was delish! I decided to try the pot roast, which was made from the bison. First off, I never tried bison before, our waitress was so nice about it she ran to the kitchen to get me a taste of it before I order it. It was great, so I of course did order it. My friend order a regular streak and loved it. I don't know if we hit the place on a really good night or not, but we felt like we got the service of a 5 star resturaunt. I've recommended it, and will continue to do so. Hopefully their service will remain just as good for those who I recommend Ted's too!

Nothing Spectacular
Burgers were good, and the variations are interesting. However, when we went, it seemed like everything was drenched in salt. The fries and 'shrooms on my burger were murder.
