not coming back....
We stopped by Ted's b/c my friends were visiting from out of town and staying close by. They were out of porterhouse steak, asparagus, bread, and vanilla ice cream. We were told it was because it was "a Sunday". The food we did order was very plain. Definitely not worth the price. At best this is a good diner. Don't expect to find anything more.

On a good day. a great place to eat.....
If you are lucky enough to avoid the worst of the waiters and be there the days when the best cook is on duty, this is truly a very great place to eat, really good actully.....BUT if you are there the wrong night....its really bad. I have never been in a restaurant where a visit can be so different. From heaven to hell....and that is too bad. I dont know if I should recommend it or not.......

Go Bank to Montana
I've been twice and it was subpar both times. On Easter Sunday, it was EMPTY and we STILL had problems with our orders. While the staff is nice, it's probably because they can't afford to lose another customer. The menu is limited, the steaks are small, and we constantly had problems getting the meat to a temperature where we wouldn't contract something. For $90 a head, there's a long list of eateries where my money would be better spent.

A really nice night.
We were walking past on Sunday night and decided to give Ted's a go, as the restaurant looked cozy and warm and we were cold! After a short wait we were seated in one of the comfy booths and our waiter took and delivered drink orders very promptly. Having never tried Bison before, we took his recommendation to try it, along with his wine suggestion. We shared an appetizer of house specialty crab cake, which was fabulous. I usually don't even like crab much, but I would certainly order this one again. Lots of tender crab chunks, served with yummy guacamole and fresh house coleslaw. The bison was excellent too, both my Swiss and Mushroom burger and my husbands steak. The servings were a perfect size, just enough to feel content without wanting to pop. The waiter's wine recommendation was also a very good accompaniment to the meal. My favorite of the whole meal though, was the Kahlua chocolate brownie. Oh my god, seriously the yummiest I have ever eaten, topped with a big scoop of Haagen Daas ice cream. Our waiter was attentive, interested in what we had to say and knew his stuff with regards to his recommendations. We will definitely we going back. :)

You call this a cobb salad!
If you only have a one hour lunch this is not the place to dine. You will have to send back your entree at least once before they get it almost right. I have been dining here with the same friend for over a year on Tuesdays and ordering the cobb salad. It is consistently inconsistent. Sometimes I get lettuce and chicken and once in awhile the salad actually contains all the ingredients listed in the menu -- bacon, cheese, avocado. Today my salad looked like a pile of slop and it will be the last time I ever dine at Ted's again. I think their prices are high for the low end food they are serving. You just lost two steady customers!

Excellent Bison Burger
My family and I recently ate lunch at Ted's. Warm, clubby atmosphere with western memorabilia, Boraxo soap in the bathroom dispensers. A variety of burger treatments abound, with a choice of bison or traditional hamburger meat. The bison burger was large and appeared hand-shaped. It was excellent,. Lemonade was fresh-squeezed and onion rings handmade. This place fulfilled my criteria of being largely "handmade" rather than processed, a surprise in a chain eatery. I would recommend Ted's if you seek an excellent and healthy (as burgers go) burger fix in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Don't waste your time - it's not good!
I went to Ted's in Atlanta and loved it. Went to the one in NYC 3 times and officially struck out. We had waiters two different times who didn't write down our order and messed it up completely. The bison on the salad came out cold, and once i got towards the middle, it was completely raw. I showed it to the waiter saying it wasn't cooked, and his response was "yah". He said he would take it back and bring me a new salad. He brought back the same salad, with the same half eaten piece of meat (now cooked medium well), and added a pile of bacon to make it look "new". One of the managers brought the "new" salad out for me and never apologized. No one apologized, never mind some sort of comp on the raw meat meal. Don't go!
