This was my first exsprience with teds and my last. For the price I paid I should have had some spectacular food. The food tasts mass produced and cheap I expect to find this kind of food Mimi's or chedders. The place was beautiful though very nice building a shame the food dose not match.

And I didn't even have the bison burger. Just the regular beef burger. It tasted musty, unpleasant and was by no means the medium rare I asked for, but practically raw, and the Swiss cheese wasn't even melted on top. Fries were okay but not enough of them. Dessert was a special and spectacular: a strawberry shortcake tower of two biscuits sandwiching vanilla ice cream and whipped cream all drenched in fresh strawberries and sauce. Delicious. It was okay, but unless it's raining again and I'm in the building and hungry, I won't go back.

I have been to Ted's a few times in NYC and frequent other locations when I travel for work. I found one reviewer's title simply put the best, Heaven or Hell. If you happen to have a great bartender, server and cook on all at the same time and happen to come in when this place is not busy you will have a great experience. However, this is not consistent or frequent. The food has great potential and the atmosphere and concept are great. The servers are rowdy, the managers are non-existent and the food can often come out salty and cold. Too expensive for the quality you actually get.

Do not eat at this restaurant. I took my brother there after he ran the NYC Marathon to celebrate his accomplishment. We ordered our food and it took 35 minutes just for our appetizers to show up. The crab cake (1 only) had more bread than crab and was overly garnished with everything except crab. We ordered our meals and after 2 rounds of drinks and another 55 minutes of waiting - our food finally arrived. I took one bite of the bison burger and it tasted horrible. Everything was ice cold and my brother suggested we go across the street, since we had spent nearly 90 minutes and still had not eaten. This was on a Sunday night where the restaurant was half empty. I highly recommend the restaurant across the street. Do not waste you time and money at Ted's.

I took my boyfriend to Ted's tonight at 10pm for dinner after having a delicious lunch there last week. When I left lunch last week I thought the restaurant was great and couldn't wait to take my boyfriend there...Well, tonight was a much different experience. 1. The restaurant was empty and we were sat right next to the door. 2. The table lamps were covered with an inch of dust. 3. The table was infested with gnats. We killed at least 6. 4. The restaurant was out of the Roasted Chicken, Tuna, Prime Rib, Mashed Potatoes and Meat Loaf. 5. My boyfriend ordered a grilled chicken with swiss and mushroom on a roll. No joke, it was by far the hardest roll I have ever touched. 6. Our french fries and my onion rings were ice cold and I had to complain. She apologized and said she would bring us two fresh orders. The new fries she brought which she made a point of saying were fresh looked liked they had just been dropped back into the deep fryer for a few seconds, AND she never brought me new onion rings. We were so disgusted at that point that we couldnt even bring ourselves to say anything, we just wanted out. 7. My steak was decent, but I swear it wasnt filet mignon.

My wife and I previously reviewed Ted's on June 21. We revisited with our daughter this past weekend 7/12/08. On this occasion, I ordered the Bison Burger, my daughter ordered, Chicken sandwich, and my wife ordered, the chicken cobb salad. All came out great, and the Bison burger was just the right size for a big eater like me. I especially want to tell people to try the hot biscuits. THEY ARE GREAT! My Wedge salad was as good as the first time, including the chilled plate and fork. Continue the good service and food. We will be back!! RS & ZS Connectocut

One of my favorite diner-type restaurants. Definitely expensive, but the food is great, whether you are there for brunch, lunch or dinnerthe service is good, and the atmosphere is fun! I'd recommend it to anyone. Personally I love the South Brooklyn Salad. And the jam they serve you at brunch is delicious!
