    Pretty Good Overall, Great Tea!

    A lot of people have said they don't like Tea NY recently. With that in mind, II went this past Friday at about 7pm for the first time. I had no issues with lines, the service, or waiting for anything. Everything arrived exactly as it should have. The tea I had originally picked was out of stock, but I quickly found another to try thanks to the experienced waitress I was helped by. I thought the prices were really reasonable considering the tea was not by the cup, but by the pot. (Easily shared by two, and if it's not finished, they'll put it in a travel cup.) Keep in mind, it's cash only.

    Best SCONES of my life!

    You must try their scones! Have them toast it for you, and eat it with jam. I crave one almost everyday. The texture is what makes the scone so good for me. It's not at all cake-like. It's more soft and crumbly on the inside with a crunchy outside.

    Everything changed :(

    Teany is no longer owned by Moby and the entire atmosphere changed. I used to be a regular, but I've been going less and less. They don't have a cook anymore, so all they offer are sandwiches. The chocolate macaroon cake (my personal favorite) is gone too. Oh, and teany did not originally have alcohol. Now they have Corona beer and wine on top of the cabinets. It lost it's whole cheerful vibe, but I do enjoy the turkey club. Overall, the teany experience is not as good as it once was.

    We went on a Friday afternoon...it was packed but we were lucky enough to get a table. We sat ignored for a very long time, then finally got someone to take our order. Our 2 glasses of wine came after we got our food...the staff were understaffed and overwhelmed....unable to handle the crowd. The 2 salads we got were good...a cobb and a goat cheese...we were happy with that.

    Very friendly staff, delicious food

    Teany is a perfect lunch spot to relax with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is friendly. The chocolate macaroon cake is wonderful and my non-vegan friends enjoyed the food too. I recommend teany highly.

    Great Tea but Slow

    I love to relax at Teany with a great cup of loose leaf tea (the variety alone is reason to come back) and a slice of their tofu cheesecake- yummy! While the waiters are always friendly, the service is painfully slow...to be seated, to have your order taken and for the check. Also, the place itself is pretty crowded- try to come off peak and it's not too bad. Sometimes I want to pour a teanychino on my server's head, but I still recommend it for the tea:}
