Authentic food, in an authentic bar
Consistently great, authentic cajun and creole fare. It definitely helps curb homesick days. My favourite thing about tchoup is that the chef isn't trying to re-invent these cuisines or get overly creative - he's doing classic dishes they way they've been done for generations, and doing it very, very well. Just like mama's. The space is cramped and service is impossible during Saints games - its much better on a non-game day. Excellent value, everything is priced appropriately for what you get. I'll keep coming back for as long as it's at dba.

Simply the best!
Best New Orleans food going in NYC period! Love love love the crispy chicken biscuit and the Gumbo--the peel n eat shrimp is another must have! Great beer selection in d.b.a.....Hours are wonky, but the experience is worth it! I dream about the biscuits
