    OK

Went to Taze for the first time tonight. Food came in large portions but was only OK. The humus appetiser was the best part of the meal, with warm pita bread. Mojito was also good. Atmosphere OK. Our waitress was very nice but the restaurant floor seemed under-staffed so service was slow at times. Pistachio dessert came on the house and was tasty.

Made me want to slap mom. Sorry mom.

My friends and I ate there and we loved it. Four picky women each enjoyed their meal – the carrot soup was fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly. She made great recommendations as none of us had tried Turkish food before. She even gave us a baklava dessert on the house.

    Subpar service and disappointing portions.

After seating my friend and I, the waiter proceeded to take a load off and play with his sidekick. I had to shout across the room to get his attention. In fact, I had to yell across the room a couple of times during the meal to get his attention. In addition to the the unforgivable service, the portions were extremely disappointing. Our calamari tasted like rubber and the kebabs we ordered had almost no meat on the plate. At least the place looked decent.

    Very disappointing

The food here sounded great and might have been if it had been hot instead it was, at best, lukewarm. I ordered a stew-like dish that was impossible to eat with a fork yet that's all I got. I had to call the waitress back to get a spoon. I didn't get bread until I asked for it (the table next to me got it right away). The staff seemed indifferent and made no effort to make eating there a good experience. Definitely won't be back.

    Very nice cozy resturant

I been in the resturant 3 times in the past month, the food is very good you can tell that everything is made fresh not like in other places, and this is probably why it takes like 1/2 an hour for the main course but apetizers come in couple of minutes which is good. Service is very nice and they make you feel like you are the most valuable customer there, I suggest this place to all my friends

    Unpleasant experience

I hadn't been to Taze for almost a year and found out that there was a new owner. I invited two friends to come from Manhattan to celebrate my birthday - Saturday night. The restaurant was not very busy at all. The bread was put on the table with no butter or olive oil. One friend told the waitress that it was my birthday - they did nothing! I don't even think they knew to do anything. The service was sloooooow - we waited almost 40 minutes for our entrees. Everything was overcooked and the rice was dry and warm. And when they asked about the food, we told them. Still they did nothing to compensate. Just a nod. Sorry to say that I will never go back.

    Taze has Gone Downhill

My friends and I used to go here all the time - and the past few times, be it delivery or in-house, Taze's food and service has diminished significantly. When getting a delivery, we actually had to have them send us some extra rice because there was literally only two teaspoons of rice with the chicken kabob. We just ate there tonight hoping for a different experience and were sadly disappointed when the hunkar Begendi came and there was less chicken in the two servings we ordered together than usually comes in one serving. They finally brought bread 30 mins. into the meal after being asked, and the Turkish coffee automatically came without the option to order it sweet or not, leaving us asking for sugar to add.
