Stay away from the meat dishes
Just had this for lunch and felt the need to warn others after having to throw out most of my food. The chicken was really unappetizing. The chana was fine, and it seems like people like their veg dishes, but stay away from the meat!

Good food at a good price
The food at Tawa is consistently good and the price is right. I go at least once a week for take out, and I am never disappointed.

I really like this place. I think their vegetarian dishes are good, the meats are not as good, but still ok. I take out from here often.

not good
the food here was disgusting and did not taste good. The food including the bread is oily and the chicken meat tasted rubbery. You couldn't drag me back here. The search continues for good Indian food on UES.

don't waste your time
I love Indian food, and yet Tawaa was such a huge disappointment. Even the Naan bread was not good! There are better places to eat Indian food for lunch in the neighborhood for the same price that is reliably excellent.

Good food at a decent price.
The quality of the food is very consistent and the service is also quite good. Portions are very filling and it is surely worth the money. If you are in the area, you should check this out.
