I've gone here about 5 times since it opened and think it's a great addition to the neighborhood! It's also given me a good overview of the service and food. And all get high marks. The service has been excellent each time I've gone, and the food consistent and delicious. Chicken Kabobs, which when I've ordered other Greek restaurants have often been dry, here they are cooked perfectly each time! It can be loud and does get crowded, so keep that in mind!

This new addition to manhattan with some of the best greek food in nyc makes it unnecessary to head to taverna's original spot in astoria. Be prepared for huge portions that can easily be shared with two people. We ordered delicious appetizers of zucchini chips, 5 assorted greek dips with fresh warm pita, and grilled octopus. The small classic greek salad of feta, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and greens was more than enough for the four of us. Our waiter, adonis, suggested that we didn't need to order the large one and he was right! He was attentive and helpful! Excellent service! The mixed seafood main dish of clams/shrimp/scallops/grilled lobster/dover sole was more than enough for the two of us. Each main dish comes with one side, and we ordered the tasty lemon potatoes (olive oil, lemon and paprika). The salmon steak and the dover sole were tasty and huge. Beets and greens with feta were excellent. As full as you may be, don't miss the warm custard! What a welcome addition to manhattan!

I've been to the original one in Astoria a few years back and remember really liking it, so I was really looking forward to trying the new one that opened in my neighborhood -- especially after reading all the positive reviews. I went with friends for dinner on a Sunday and got seated fairly quickly (they don't take reservations.) The acoustics are terrible so it's really hard to have a conversation. Now the food: What a HUGE disappointment - The fish was dry and bland. It was market price -- I didn't ask the cost (my bad) -- but when the bill came, and it turned out to cost $37 for each fish entrée (I wouldn't have paid $27 for the dish) I felt REALLY ripped off! Also, The service was really "rushed"!

My gf Kiki took me out for an early birthday dinner and she brought me to Taverna Kyclades which was a very nice restaurant with fine service, fine dining, wonderful atmosphere and the best Greek food I ever had. Kiki knows Greek cuisine and her heritage is Greek. We both love Greek cuisine and this very special restaurant. I recommend it highly.

Food was very medioca. I never ate in a greek resturant where they served itialian bread and not pita.We felt very rushed! The appetizers came out with the salad and shortly after the entrees came out. My salmon was dry and tastless. I sent it back and the mgr. did not ask me if I wanted to order something else. My friend had the grilled shrimp. That was okay along with the branzino I have never ate in a resturant where they do not serve coffee or tea. Well I guess there is always a first. We felt like they wanted us out so they could turn over the table again. We will not return.

Went for lunch today and everything was excellent. Food was amazing. As good, if not better, than Astoria.
